Welcoming Danbury High School - Inspired Growing Expands to Connecticut
DANBURY C.T. — Earlier this month, our team headed to Connecticut to install two farms at The Academies of Danbury High School! The new program is led by Mr. John LaRosa through the school’s Academy of Clean Energy & Green Design.
In their first week back, Danbury students were already getting familiar with the farms, completing their first harvest cycle and taste tests. As the year gets underway, Mr. LaRosa plans to use the farms to bring classroom lessons to life across a range of subjects while sharing the fresh produce within their community:
“Students are actively growing high-quality produce in a sustainable food system while gaining valuable experience in environmental science, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. The first crops have already been harvested and shared with the school community, showcasing how our students are turning innovative ideas into real-world solutions and making a positive impact right here at Danbury High School.”

For Inspired Growing, this also marks an exciting milestone. Starting as a Newark-based company, we’re grateful to be expanding beyond the Metro region and bringing our farms and educational programming into Connecticut for the first time.
Welcome aboard Danbury!
